We are situated in one of the World’s most beautiful cities, the city where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet, the picturesque town of Cape Town in South Africa. Our laboratories span two campuses of the University of Cape Town (UCT). Our synthetic chemistry laboratories are located within the Department of Chemistry on the UCT Upper Campus while our biochemical laboratories are located within the Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine on the UCT Medical School Campus. Research topics in our laboratories are geared towards providing students and postdoctoral fellows with choices that expose them to the widest possible frontiers of science with hopes that their education and training encompasses modern approaches to research in the chemical and biological sciences.
